IACA is inviting applications from anti-corruption and compliance professionals around the world for its seventh annual Summer Academy, which will take place from 30 June to 7 July 2017 at IACA’s campus in Laxenburg, Austria.
This interdisciplinary programme is designed for working professionals looking to consolidate their experiences and enlarge their competences to better counter corruption. Through lectures, group work, and roundtable discussions, Summer Academy participants examine trends and practices on the global anti-corruption agenda and acquire tools for bridging the gap between theory and practice.
The programme is delivered by leading international academics and practitioners in the field of anti-corruption and compliance. Their diverse professional backgrounds and cross-sectoral experiences provide participants with an excellent opportunity to expand their knowledge and gain hands-on skills in an international environment.
Participants benefit from high-quality peer discussion and subsequently join IACA’s alumni network of some 1,100 anti-corruption and compliance professionals in more than 140 countries.
Professionals with a minimum of five years of relevant work experience in the public and private sector, international and non-governmental organizations, media, civil society, and academia are encouraged to apply.
The 2016 Summer Academy brought around 80 participants from more than 40 countries to Laxenburg. Since it began in 2011, the programme has empowered 425 professionals from 110 countries.
