On Tuesday night, MACS participants defeated IACA staff 3:1 in a friendly football game on the home grounds of the Laxenburg Football Club. Former GRECO Chairman Drago Kos, also a (former) professional referee, mediated the game. Despite very high temperatures, all players showed great enthusiasm and gave their very best on the field.
On 6 August, H.E. Vladimír Galuška, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the International Organizations in Vienna, presented his credentials to Martin Kreutner, the Dean and Executive Secretary of IACA.
The third annual International Anti-Corruption Summer Academy (IACSA) drew to a close last weekend after an action-packed, ten-day programme where science met practice. Seventy participants took part this year, representing over 50 countries, from Canada to Argentina to India.
Close to 40 international participants took part in a two-day seminar last week featuring Professor Robert Klitgaard from Claremont Graduate University. Professor Klitgaard provided an inside view into the complexity of corruption cases based on his experiences in the anti-corruption field over the last few decades.
