Each year in July the annual Alumni Reunion is held in Laxenburg. This two-day event is tied to the last two days of the yearly Summer Academy held at IACA’s campus during the first week of July. The two-day programme for the Reunion provides alumni with a possibility to network on-site with fellow alumni, to benefit from interactive and specifically chosen lecturers for this event, and the possibility to extend their professional network through networking with current Summer Academy participants.
IACA’s 4th Alumni Reunion will take place on 6 and 7 July 2017. Sharing their latest insights on hot anti-corruption issues will be Michael Johnston, Distinguished Professor at IACA and the Charles A. Dana Professor of Political Science Emeritus at Colgate University, Drago Kos, Chair of the OECD Working Group on Bribery, Daniel Li, former Deputy Commissioner and Head of Operations of the Hong Kong Independent Commission against Corruption (ICAC), and Malika Aït-Mohamed Parent, former Under-Secretary General for Governance at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and a MACS programme graduate. Other treats include a professional teambuilding activity and a session on Synergology, a new discipline that uses body language analysis as a complementary investigative technique.
The participation fee is 150 EUR per person. This includes lectures, coffee and lunch breaks, shuttle bus service, and the gala dinner.
The Alumni Reunion will immediately follow the “Best of” seminar with Drago Kos on 4 and 5 July. For those wishing to attend both events, we are offering a special package price of 740 EUR (the fee for the “Best of” seminar alone is 690 EUR).
Alumni are responsible for their own travel and accommodation arrangements and any associated costs. A limited number of rooms will be pre-booked at a hotel in Vienna. We recommend that those interested in this offer contact us as early as possible and we will provide you with detailed information and with hotel booking form.
If you require a visa to travel to Austria, IACA will issue a note verbale in support of your application. Since the visa application process can take a long time, please allow at least two months before the start of the Alumni Reunion to secure your visa.
